Another testing circuit mainly in The Vercors starting with a 33km ride through incredibly scenic villages, particularly Pont-en-Royan where the houses are built into the sheer face of the mountain and look as if they are about to topple in the Bourne river below. The 15km climb up Col de Romeyere (1069kms) twists and turns as it snakes higher and higher into The Vercors with breathtaking views all the way. After the steady descent to Gorges de la Bourne there is the option of continuing downhill to Pont-en-Royans and homeward bound or extending the circuit by climbing back up into The Vercors going south via Les Grandes Goulets which will add another 18kms.
